Steps to Look out While Traveling on a Public Transport

It is well known that Bangalore has the best public transport in the entire nation giving enough option of varied services of transport that they have to offer to the public. It bridges the gap from you long and far work places to home and vice versa. They have many services such as intercity road transport and inter-state road transport which are the best models of Karnataka transport. The best part about this transport system is online bus booking, which is lot easier to do so. According to Bangalore Times news edition, Volvo buses have hit the Bangalore city in an unexpected success which made them introduce more Volvo ac buses into their transport system both normal city transport and multi axle Volvo buses used for interstate road transport.
But many people misuse the transport and fail to maintain the road transport, be it cleanliness or the necessity of using a road transport. People should know how to travel on a public transport and the basic things they should follow while doing it. It may not be a point of concern at the moment but when people from other states and countries visit Bangalore they should comment in a positive way rather than insulting the services that we provide.
So here are the steps you need to know while on board with public transport –
1.      Find the bus routes before hand – Every city has different times for the buses depending on the convenience of the public and the frequency of bus to that particular destination. You can do this by just browsing it on the route map applications on your mobile.
2.      Dress Type – Make sure you wear a light coloured dress if you are travelling after dusk, in order to signal the driver with any lighted device. Ex: A Mobile Phone or a LED torch.
3.      Discount on Pass – Bus pass is the only pass that is sold out to most of the people in this country. Be it students, employees, workers etc. You could ask the conductor for any discounts on the pass available on criteria such as student, youth, old age citizens and physically disabled people. You may also do the same at a bus depot.
4.      Type of pass – find out according to your convenience what kind of a pass you want, is it a day pass or the monthly based pass which might turn out to be economical compared to later.
5.      Pick up stops – Make a note of all the stations that you encounter while on your journey, in case you might need to make a stop at those places. So that you don’t need to find the routes all the time.
6.      Time – Make sure you reach the bus station and board your bus on time in case if there are very less amount of buses in that route.
7.      Queue – Maintain a queue, let the elders and disabled people board the bus first and then get into the bus. Also keep your change or pass in hand.
8.      Check – Don’t just board any bus that stops at your bus station, it could just take a detour. Look for your route and bus number and then board the bus.
9.      Moving – Do not move too much in a moving bus, it could be harmful if you lose balance when breaks are applied.
10.  Verifying – Never ignore when someone asks you to show your bus pass, they could just be ticket collector or an officer on a regular check-up basis.
11.  Let Way – Make way for those who want to get down and do not block the passage, they could just curse you and you would not want that.
12.  Finding – Finding a seat is not an easy task, Make sure you take the seat only if signifies your gender.  But these days all the buses are not doing the gender discrimination.
13.  Un-boarding – When you listen to the announcement of stop earlier to your stop, get up and walk towards the door nearest to the driver. This way you would not miss the bus.
14.  Re-check – Make sure you have taken all your belongings and not forget.
Hence this way how you need to plan your travel on a city road transport. This is the similar way how you travel in an inter-state bus. It is easy that onlinebus booking has been made online and is now lot easier to book tickets
